By MRT & Bus:
1) Take Bus 113 from Kovan MRT (Bus Stop No: 63039) along Upper Serangoon Road. It takes about 12 min. Alight at Opposite Aljunied Kembangan Community Center, Hougang Avenue 1. (5 stops later)
2) Take Bus 51 at Hougang Central Interchange (Bus Stop No: 64009)in Hougang Central. It takes about 10 min. Alight at Opposite Blk 106, Hougang Avenue 3. (6 stops later)
By Shuttle Van:
1) Wait for our XYZ Inc. Shuttle Van at Kovan Hub (the old bus interchange beside the hawker centre outside Heartland Mall) as shown below. There will be ushers there to assist u... Pick up Timing will be 1200 hrs (For Group G) and 1430 hrs (For Group H).
Auditions Format
1. Auditions will be behind doors (no audience).
2. Judging panel of 3 consists of XYZ volunteers and past KSS finalists.
3. Contestant will sing any part of an English or Chinese song without music.
4. Every judge will give each contestant a score of 1 - 10.
5. Contestants with total score of 24 and above will gain immediate entry to our Quarter-Finals.
6. Otherwise, they will be on our waitlist.
7. Contestants chosen from the waitlist to enter the Quarter-Finals will be announced on the blog and via email 1 - 2 days after all the audition rounds are completed.
Judging Criteria
1. Singing Techniques (pitching, articulation etc)
2. "Star" Qualities (Voice quality, entertainment value, dressing)
Goodies
1. All contestants will get a $50 discount vouchers of courses by Intune Music School (Official Music School for KSS2010.
2. All contestants are also entitled to a free trial group lesson conducted by Intune Music School. The school will contact you when the dates get nearer.
